A stronger faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement is something we can, and should, always strive for.  Elder Neal A. Maxwell taught that, “in the description of the exquisite suffering of Jesus in his Atonement we are told that Jesus took upon himself the infirmities of all of us in order that, his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities (Alma 7:12).  Being sinless himself Jesus could not have suffered for personal sin nor known what such agony is unless he took upon our sins.  Not only to redeem us and to save us, but also in order that he might know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities”.  This was the ultimate example of bearing one another’s burdens.  As our faith increases our love, admiration, and appreciation for Christ will also increase.  These feelings, if we allow them, will change us to be more like the Savior.  Our capacity to see, succor, and serve our brothers and sisters will be intensified.
